4. Plugins and Tools

YouTube with expanded data protection integration

Our website uses plug-ins of the YouTube platform, which is being operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA

We use YouTube in the expanded data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode ensures that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. Nevertheless, this does not necessarily mean that the sharing of data with YouTube partners can be ruled out as a result of the expanded data protection mode. For instance, regardless of whether you are watching a video, YouTube will always establish a connection with the Google DoubleClick network.

As soon as you start to play a YouTube video on our website, a connection to YouTube's servers will be established. As a result, the YouTube server will be notified, which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account while you visit our site, you enable YouTube to directly allocate your browsing patterns to your personal profile. You have the option to prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Furthermore, after you have started to play a video, YouTube will be able to place various cookies on your device. With the assistance of these cookies, YouTube will be able to obtain information about our website visitor. Among other things, this information will be used to generate video statistics with the aim of improving the user friendliness of the site and to prevent attempts to commit fraud. These cookies will stay on your device until you delete them.

Under certain circumstances, additional data processing transactions may be triggered after you have started to play a YouTube video, which are beyond our control. The use of YouTube is based on our interest in presenting our online content in an appealing manner. Pursuant to Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR, this is a legitimate interest.

For more information on how YouTube handles user data, please consult the Data Privacy Policy.

Facebook Link

We maintain online presence in social networks like Facebook. We do this in order to communicate with the customers, prospects and users active there and to inform them there about our services. Basis for the operation of the online presence in the social networks is our legitimate interest in an effective information of the users and communication with the users in accordance with. Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f. GDPR.

We do not use a so-called plug-in to social networks, which already contain on our pages the code of the respective external network. We have only simple links. An automatic transfer of user data to the operators of the platform does not take place through this integration. If you are automatically logged in to one of the networks, you will be redirected to the fan page by clicking on the link. If you are not automatically logged in, you will first get to the LogIn screen of the corresponding network.

Please note that the use of social networks may be used to process data of users outside the territory of the European Union. This may result in risks for the users because e.g. enforcement of user rights could be made more difficult. With respect to US providers certified under the Privacy Shield, we point out that they are committed to respecting EU privacy standards.

Furthermore, the data of the users are usually processed for market research and advertising purposes. Thus, e.g. user profiles are created from the user behaviour and the resulting interests of the users. The usage profiles can in turn be used to e.g. Place advertisements inside and outside the platforms that are allegedly in line with users interests. For these purposes, cookies are usually stored on the computers of the users, in which the user behaviour and the interests of the users are stored. Furthermore, data can also be stored in the usage profiles independently of the devices used by the users (in particular if the users are members of the respective platforms and are logged in to them).

Only the providers themselves have access to the data of the users and can directly take appropriate measures and provide information. For questions regarding the processing and collection of the data, as well as the possibilities of objection within the use of one of the social platforms, we refer to the privacy policy of:
